Fabric Magpie is turning one and I would love it if you would join me to celebrate! In honour of the first anniversary I’m putting on a one day pop up shop in the heart of Manchester’s creative Northern Quarter.
You will find me at the Foundation Coffee Shop on Lever Street, Manchester on Saturday 16th March from 9am until 4.30pm. It’s a ten minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, and only 5 minutes from the main bus stop.I’m hoping you’ll come for the fabric but stay for a brew and a catch up with fellow sewists. The venue are kindly setting aside an area for us to gather and gossip about all things sewing.
To celebrate in style I’ve teamed up with personal stylist Ayesha Edmondson of Be Your Own Label to put on some mini colour analysis sessions. These are £35 for 30 minutes and include a goodie bag and some discount codes to use for Ayesha’s other services or at the pop up shop for fabric. See the product listing here for more details.
I’m excited to offer this collaboration as I believe that sewing items that you will wear again and again is important for sustainability, and colour choices can make a big impression on how a garment makes us feel. It’s also a bit of a treat and a little bit different to other sewing meet ups.
If you’re not into the colour analysis that’s totally fine, you’re welcome to come hang out with us anyway, the more the merrier! The event will run all day from 9am, with colour sessions starting from 10am.
Hopefully see you there! Happy sewing,
